The spiritual master…

Yesterday was the disappearance day of Srila A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. In the sacred month of Kartik, in 1977, Srila Prabhupada left this world in Sri Vrindavan Dham, leaving behind a whole world more conscious of Lord Krsna.

Srila Prabhupada installing Sri Sri Radha Londonishwara; The deities today…

For those who do not know Srila Prabhupada, or consider him to be their spiritual master, his life remains an amazing example of how miraculously Krsna can act. Srila Prabhupada spread the message of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu – chanting of Lord Krsna’s Holy names- around the world in a short 12 years. He created more than 108 temples, each with installed deities of Radha and Krsna, Who are being worshipped to this day.

My spiritual master, Srila Jatapataka Maharaj is still in critical condition. He is still intubated, and his platelet count has increased slightly. His blood pressure still fluctuates. When conscious, he finds the tubes for intubation uncomfortable, so the doctors have sedated him for comfort. The doctors turned the ventilator periodically, and he was able to breathe by himself, but since he tired easily, they decided to continue use of the ventilator until his condition improves. He is not responding to verbal commands, which is somewhat concerning…

Please pray for his protection. The Narasimha Kavacha is a good prayer, but I personally believe, any sincere prayer to Krsna will usher in His help in such a situation. Please keep Srila Jayapataka Maharaj in your thoughts and prayers, and I am sure Krsna will protect His devotee under all circumstances…
