Srila Sanatana Goswami composed the Sri Krsna Lila Stava in glorification of the pastimes of Lord Krsna as enumerated in the first 45 chapters of the 10th canto of the Srimad Bhagavatham. The verses are arranged in the form of obeisances to Lord Krsna, and several obeisances comprise each chapter. Following the 45th chapter, Srila Sanatana Goswami offers a short prayers to Lord Jagannatha, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the five forms of the Lord’s manifestation, the Arca (deity) form of the Lord,the Srimad Bhagavatham, and finally a humble appeal to the Vaishnava readers of the work. O Lotus-eyed Lord, O Nectar on the shore of the ocean, O Gutikodara (Jagannatha is so called because a salagrama-shila wrapped in fine silk is kept inside the stomach of His deity), O enjoyer of unlimited pastimes, please protect me!
